Kathmandu celebrates International Day of Girl Child

eNEWSCover, Oct 4, 2013, Kathmandu. With the motto “Innovating for Girls’ Education”, Thursday capital city enjoyed a cycling rally which lengthened from Basantapur Durbar Square to Patan Durbar Square. Kathmandu prematurely celebrated the International Day of Girl Child that would fall in October 11, 2013. Amidst of rainfall from early morning, hundreds of girls and youths gathered for the rally. Chief Secretary Lila Mani Poudel, Sushmita Maskey and actress Namrata Shrestha attended the closing ceremony. Namrata exchanged her on-screening movie “Maun” T-shirt with the organizers ‘Innovating for girls’ education’ labelled.
